Travel Connect has been recognised by Jafnvægisvogin (The Equality Scale) for the third consecutive year for achieving gender balance in executive leadership. Hildur Björk Hafsteinsdóttir, our Chief Communication Officer, accepted the recognition on our behalf.
The Equality Scale works to position Icelandic businesses as global leaders in gender equality, with the goal that by 2027 each gender holds at least 40% of executive positions across Icelandic companies.
Balanced leadership is something we choose every day: in every hiring conversation, every promotion discussion and every leadership opportunity. Diverse perspectives and experiences help us make better decisions and build a workplace where everyone can grow, lead and make an impact.
As part of the recognition, honorees plant a tree in FKA’s Equality Grove. Sigrún Hulda and Kristín from Travel Connect participated in this yearly tradition that is meant to let the grove grow alongside equality in Icelandic business.
