Travel Connect was named Company of the Year 2026 in the large company category, received the Most Family-Friendly Company of the Year award for the first time, and daughter brand Iceland Travel recognized as a Model Company.
Travel Connect came home from the VR Company of the Year ceremony with three reasons to celebrate.
Winning two awards on the same evening is a significant achievement for Travel Connect. The Company of the Year title in the large company category reflects the strength of the culture across the workplace, while the Most Family-Friendly award acknowledges the everyday effort that goes into making the workplace one that supports people through every stage of life. We are extremely proud of this achievement and very grateful to our employees.
Because these awards are based on employee responses, the real recognition belongs to the people across the Travel Connect brands and offices. They are the ones who shape the culture, bring the energy, and create the everyday moments that make work somewhere people genuinely want to be.
There are three Family-Friendly Firms of the Year 2026, one in each size category. The selection is based on employees' views on factors such as flexibility and the ability to balance work and private life, an area that VR considers important to highlight.
Adding to the occasion, Iceland Travel was recognized as a Model Company, reaching the top 15 for the first time. The top fifteen companies with the highest overall score in each size category receive formal recognition as Model Firm 2026.
Many of these companies rank highly year after year, regardless of circumstances, which reflects strong human resources management. Joining this group places Iceland Travel alongside some of the most respected workplaces in Iceland.
