We're proud to share that the Travel Connect Fund has selected its first round of projects to support.
Launched this year, the fund represents our commitment to giving back to the destinations that make our work meaningful. Employees across our brands lead the selection process.
The fund supports environmental and social initiatives aligned with our focus on five UN Sustainable Development Goals: Good Health and Wellbeing, Gender Equality, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Climate Action, and Life on Land.
Environmental Projects
Seawilding (ISK 1M) works to restore wild oyster populations and seagrass in the UK. These ecosystems help to clean water, bind carbon, and create vital spawning grounds. At Loch Craignish, seagrass covers just 0.4% of the water yet supports 68% of marine life —demonstrating why it is critical to reverse the 92% decline in UK seagrass.

Landvernd (ISK 1M) Iceland's environmental advocacy organisation provides ongoing vital work protecting nature and quality of life.
Social Projects
Ásgarður (ISK 500K) provides employment and services for people with disabilities in Iceland, viewing disability as opportunity rather than limitation.
The Green Team (ISK 500K) connects UK children with nature through hands-on conservation, building the next generation of environmental stewards.

Smart Works Scotland (ISK 1.5M) provides unemployed women with training, professional clothing, and confidence to secure employment and transform their lives.
Kvennaathvarfið (ISK 1M) offers crucial counselling and support for women in Iceland experiencing intimate partner violence.

This inaugural round focuses on Iceland and Scotland, where we received the most project nominations. We're looking forward to expanding our reach to other destinations in future donation cycles.
